Working method

In my work as a physiotherapist, I look beyond just the site of the symptoms. I believe the body functions as a whole, and that complaints often have deeper underlying causes. That’s why I ask many questions, take a broad perspective, and take the time to explore together where the imbalance truly originates.

What makes my approach unique is that I’m currently studying to become an osteopath, and I already incorporate this vision into my treatments. I don’t just focus on muscles and joints, but also on how they relate to organs, nerves, and the connective tissue in between. This broader perspective helps to better understand complaints — and to treat them more sustainably.

The body is a whole

The body is always viewed as one integrated whole, where everything is interconnected. For example, back pain can stem from an old ankle injury or tension around the intestines. It’s important to find the true origin of a complaint, even if it lies in a different area than where the pain is felt.

Self-healing ability

The body has a natural ability to heal itself, but sometimes this process gets disrupted. Blockages can hinder recovery. By identifying and addressing these obstacles, the body is given the space to function optimally and is enabled to heal itself.

Aiming for optimal flow

Health is movement; everything in the body wants to flow: blood, lymph, nerves, and organs. When this flow becomes stagnant, imbalance occurs. Restoring this movement is essential to bring the body back into balance, just like water that refreshes when it keeps moving.
